Marilyn Orlando was born in San Jose CA October 8, 1946. She grew up in Sunnyvale on a cherry, apricot and prune orchard until the family ranch was sold in 1963 and the family moved to Willow Glen.. She remains in the home purchased by her family in 1963. She was married at an early age, 19, but lost her husband to cancer just 12 years later. She remarried in 1999 but unfortunately lost her husband Gene in 2019. She has no children but a nephew and niece from her deceased brother and sees them often. Marilyn’s dream when growing up was to be a stewardess but her first husband was a pilot so she obtained her pilot’s license which satisfied her desire to be in the air. She was in the jewelry business for awhile after losing her first husband when a friend said you should research the reverse mortgage business. After researching she settled on becoming a reverse mortgage loan officer since she realized that helping seniors retain their homes would be a very gratifying experience. She has been doing this for the past 18 years and loves working with seniors. She was fortunate enough to meet Pasquale about 10 years ago and was immediately interested in Pasquale’s desire for developing, scheduling, producing, and implementing the Notable Music and Arts Organizations Programs to provide an effective means to celebrate music and performing arts and education to enrich and improve the lives of thousands of socioeconomically disadvantaged students in Silicon Valley. She is honored to be on the Board of NMAO and promoting their mission.
